In the current project, we would like to address the imminent issue of lack of menstrual hygiene-related IEC and BCC activities. So much so that the women in the Melakondaiyur village of Thiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu, suburban of Chennai, and surrounding villages are not aware of the benefits and need to pursue menstrual hygiene practices; this includes the use, handling, disposal of menstrual pads. In pursuit of social welfare and betterment at the rural grassroots, we have come up with a proposal idea to set up a sanitary pad (made of banana stem or other agri waste) manufacturing plant or initiate a first-level raw material processing unit for sanitary pads using Banana stem or other agri waste.

Our thematic work areas are vast as we aim at working towards collective social betterment, through our three chief and focus sector areas of Education, Health and Environment.
